this is a little bit early because undoubtedly ill be running around various places tomorrow and may not be able to get back to all of you, but i wanted to wish each and every one of you a MERRY CHRISTMAS or whatever it is that you celebrate this time of year!

and if you don’t celebrate anything this time of the year…boooooooo to you!

although this year will be very different from years past, i am still so very grateful for everything that i DO have. i have a loving family, a great boyfriend, the bestest bestest that anyone could hope for, and those of you who stick by this silly bunch of musings through thick and through thin!

i hope that no one reads this on Christmas because you should all be spending time with your loved ones…enjoy it…savor it…

ive learned that those perfect moments only last so long and i wish i would’ve spent a little more time actually seeing them for how perfect they really were.

oh and before i go, what would Christmas be without a gift…

so i just popped on to the site to see what was going on and i had an interesting referrer (for those of you who don’t know, a referrer is a site which someone clicks a link on to visit my page.) the referrer in question was a website called hidemyass.com. 

now i was as excited as anyone could possibly be that my little old slice of internet (albeit a slightly less than sexy slice) could be linked on a porn site, but to my dismay it is not a porn site! apparently it is a site that people use to hide their internet activities. which begs the question to be asked…why would anyone want my site hidden from anyone?

or better yet…

does someone out there use my words as jerk off material?

im not that lucky…

maybe i should sex the place up a bit, you know…use some hot pink every now and then or put a few random porn links in the musings!

who knows? 

all i know is that if you’re using a site like hidemyass…maybe you should reconsider your internet surfing habits or just put on a pair of pants…

cleaning up around here…

as some of you might notice, there are some posts now missing and a lot more posts being edited. i decided that i needed to get rid of some posts that had no relevance anymore or things that i just don’t want to have anyone read because those posts reflect badly upon me.

i hate losing pieces of my writing and life’s journey, but i think that its ok to say goodbye to a wrong chapter in my life.

i am kicking around the idea of doing a daily blog starting on january 1st 2009 so i can chronicle a year in my life. for no other reason than to see how i evolve throughout the year. maybe to challenge myself to see if i can actually stick to it…i am very undisciplined and maybe this will help.

i have some other things up my sleeve, but more on that another time.

i would still like to get others involved in posting here, so if you’re interested let me know and we’ll set you up! you don’t have to be funny or entertaining and you can write about whatever you want. if you want to write reviews, do it. if you want to write opinions, do it. if i can find people that want to write about certain things, then i can create sections for them and it can be their niche. like i said, let me know if you are interested.

american idols live ‘08 pics…

it’s been a week since I posted live from Pittsburgh and I know that a few of you want to see the pictures from the American Idols Live show, but I’ve been a bit swamped at the office (as a matter of fact, I’m posting this from my desk on my lunch break.)

the plan as of right now is to update this post tomorrow (Wednesday) with the some pics and a few opinions on the show over all. be patient cuz I will have to resize all of the pics that I post, so I may not have it ready to go until later in the evening!

just a little reminder that Taylor’s “Early Works” disk is street dated for 8/12 and is exclusively available at target…I’m actually looking at next weeks ad with it in as I type! it’s kind of cool that I’ll be the first one to buy copies on launch day! more on that next week though, Im sure…

hmmm…it has a ring to it, doesn’t it? i feel like i should have a golden bust, with a velvet rope around it and an armed guard on the ready sitting in a hallowed hall somewhere.

with no track list available yet i can only guess what is going to be on this cd. more than likely it is a reissue of certain tracks from “in your time” and “under the radar” cd’s that were released years before taylor won american idol. ideally it would be some re recordings of some of the more popular tracks due to “in your time” sounding like it was recorded in a garage (don’t get me wrong, i love the album, but it’s certainly not something that would stand up in this day and age.) maybe, just maybe he would include some unreleased tracks or covers…dare i dream about a track from the forthcoming new cd (this fall?)

check it out regardless of the track list, it is real music. soul music with a twinge of country, maybe some zydeco, with a pinch of good old fashioned rock and roll. it is the birth of modern whomp! get on the band wagon now because taylor is just about ready to blow the roof off of the entertainment industry.
